Leading actor in private education in Norway

Sonans’ two main business areas are Sonans Privatgymnas, private adult education, and Sonans Nettgymnas, their adult education offerings online. (These are similar to Komvux in Sweden while in Norway they call it privatistundervisning.)

Sonans offers a large number of courses that provide general or specialized competencies, preparing their students for further education. Sonans Nettgymnas is Norway’s largest online upper secondary school for distance learning courses. Sonans offers private education classes in eight of Norway’s largest cities – Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Kristiansand, Tromsö, Drammen and Porsgrunn.

Sonans also runs three upper secondary schools in Oslo, Bergen and Trondheim. In addition, the Sonans Interstudies program handles the placement of Scandinavian students in a number of Central European medical faculties.

The company has been providing education courses since 1989 and today has 300 employees.
