A leading Swedish supplier of care services and products

When PMIC acquired LIC Care, it was a leading Swedish supplier of products, equipment and services related to dental care, orthopedics, audio-aiding and minimal evasive surgery. In addition, the company was also a strong supplier of incontinence diapers on the Swedish market.

After the acquisition, the company divested smaller non-core business and its very profitable diaper business. LIC Care then bought HKC, a leading Swedish wholesaler of nutritional foods and vitamins. After further streamlining and operational improvements the company was listed on the Swedish stock exchange.

Procuritas acquired LIC Care in 1993 from AxTrade, part of the Axel Johnson Group. It was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange in 1995; PMIC retained a large minority stake. The holding was finally divested in 1995, when Getinge Industrier AB acquired the company.
