King Oscar is a leading international supplier of premium canned seafood. The company is most well known for its brisling sardines but also supplies a range of products including mackerel, herring, anchovies, cod liver, tuna and other products.
With over 100 years of history, the King Oscar brand is marketed across the world. Its main markets include the US, Norway and Poland. Manufacturing is conducted in Svolvær (Norway) and Gniewino (Poland), and the total number of employees is around 400.
King Oscar was acquired by a Procuritas advised fund following a decision by its former owner Rieber & Søn to streamline its business. The aim here is to grow the company organically across several markets. Potential add-on opportunities will be evaluated as well.
