Fredrik Gunmalm joins Medtanken Group as CEO

Medtanken Group (Medtanken) is a primary care provider in the regions of Västra Götaland and Skåne in the west and south of Sweden. With over 140.000 listed patients Medtanken is one of the leading companies in its field. We are now happy to announce that Fredrik Gunmalm will join Medtanken as new CEO of the Group. Fredrik joins from Capio where he was CEO of their local healthcare organization.

Fredrik Gunmalm, CEO of Medtanken Group, comments: “After more than ten years in different roles inside the primary care system, I know that you must always be patient-centric. I’m looking forward to working with the Medtanken team to create a medical provider with an even stronger patient focus, while being a best-in-class workplace. Medtanken has a foundation in decentralization, entrepreneurship and quality, a great start for building and growing this group even further.“

With a passion for building strong sustainable businesses through transformational growth, Procuritas has facilitated accelerated development and multi-regional expansion of the group, for example in the acquisitions of Kvarterskliniken, Citysjukhuset and Hälsomedicinskt center i Sverige (HMC).

Oskar Lindholm-Wu, partner at Procuritas and acting Chairman of Medtanken’s board of directors, comments: “The team at Medtanken has impressed us continually with a clear focus on quality and evidence-based care. At the same time the group has grown and now provides their services in both the regions of Västa Götaland and Skåne.  We are here to create a unique primary care provider with full focus on the patient and the highest quality of medical care. This all starts with an entrepreneurial approach, and both the board and I feel confident that Fredrik is the right person to continue the journey going forward.”
