Nature Planet grows with US-based Cool Jewels
Nature Planet, a leading producer of soft toys and gift products for the global attractions industry and a partner to Procuritas since 2019, finalizes its third acquisition in the US with the purchase of Phillips International and their brand Cool Jewels. Phillips International is a leading sustainability-focused provider of jewelry for the attractions industry.
Nature Planet was founded with a clear focus on building strong long-term relationships with its customers in the attractions industry, particularly focused on the zoo and aquarium segment. Today the company supplies more than 5000 customers in Europe and the US. The acquisition of Phillips International adds jewelry as a new product category, making Nature Planet a one-stop-shop for the attractions industry.
“I am very proud and happy that we have come to this agreement. Nature Planet can now also offer a wide range of jewelry to our customers in the USA and introduce the brand in Europe. Today, Cool Jewels is the leading brand in the United States in their field. With the acquisition of Phillips International, which is a well-run and steadily growing company, we are taking an important step on our ambitious growth journey, developing Nature Planet into the leading global player in the market,” says Søren Lund, CEO at Nature Planet.
Nature Planet entered the US market in 2022 through the acquisition of Wishpets LLC and Wildlife Artist Inc.
“When we partnered with Nature Planet in 2019 we set up an ambitious growth strategy together, growing in the US market is an important part of that strategy. Nature Planet is a leading player in their niche, built with a strong focus on sustainability, CSR and premium products of high quality. Having gained a strong foothold in the US we are now looking forward to further positive developments in the coming years”, says Oskar Lindholm-Wu, Partner, Procuritas. As a value driven company Nature Planet supports organizations all over the globe. Among other things, the company has built 16 schools in Nepal and Indonesia. With a clear environmental focus in all production, sustainability has been a part of the operation since inception.
