Procuritas Capital Investors V partners up with founders of Sofacompany & Scandinavian Design

Guernsey / Korsør

Procuritas Capital Investors V (“PCI V”) and the founders of Sofacompany and Scandinavian Design (“the Group”), have signed an agreement in which PCI V becomes the majority owner of the Group.

The Group is selling affordable upholstery furniture with high design content through two business lines: Sofacompany is a fast-growing online retailer selling directly to design conscious end consumers in ten countries; and Scandinavian Design serves furniture customers in over 40 countries world-wide with quality design furniture.  A large part of sales is towards the online channel.

The Group has grown very strongly since the founders Cathrine and Christian Rudolph-Christiansen established the business in 2008. Cathrine and Christian Rudolph-Christiansen will remain significant minority owners of the Group and will continue to manage the business.

“We are excited about this opportunity to partner up with Cathrine and Christian who have done a tremendous job in building the business to where it is today. The Group has a unique setup in providing high quality products with high design content at truly affordable prices, with great customer satisfaction rates. We believe there are great opportunities to continue the strong growth with solid profitability and we feel comfortable we can add significant value, given our experience from working with entrepreneurs and high growth businesses” comments Mattias Feiff, Partner at Procuritas Partners AB, advisor to PCI V.

“In order to accelerate the development of the company, we are happy to partner with Procuritas due to their strong track-record and passion for supporting companies to take the next step. I feel the company has reached a size where bringing in professional investors like Procuritas can really make a difference during the years to come” says Christian Rudolph-Christiansen, founder of the companies.
