Werksta expands into the Netherlands through the acquisition of ABS Den Elzen

Werksta, the leading car collision repair chain in the Nordics and one of Procuritas’ portfolio companies, has signed an agreement to enter the Netherlands through the strategic acquisition of ABS Den Elzen, a high-quality chain with nine workshops. With this acquisition, Werksta takes its first step outside its Nordic home market. With the addition of the Netherlands, Werksta now operates workshop chains in four countries.

The acquisition of ABS Den Elzen represents an important milestone in Werksta’s growth journey. We are impressed by ABS Den Elzen’s qualities, and we see great potential for further growth in the Netherlands with ABS Den Elzen as our platform, says Joel Granath, Group CEO of Werksta.

Family company ABS Den Elzen, founded in 1948, is a growing car collision repair chain serving insurance and leasing customers in the south-west of the Netherlands. The company has nine workshops, around 200 employees and is part of the ABS network. In 2024, ABS Den Elzen reached revenues of around 40 MEUR.

We are happy to join forces with Werksta and thereby benefit from their experience and competencies that will be beneficial for our employees and for our ability to take the next growth step. Werksta has a strong track record of building a larger chain while at the same time improving quality and delivering great value to the customers, says Joost Den Elzen, Managing Director and owner of ABS Den Elzen.

Werksta’s vision is to become a leading European car collision repair chain, and this acquisition is one important step in that quest. We are very pleased that ABS Den Elzen now becomes part of Werksta, and we look forward to developing the business together, says Mattias Feiff, Chairman of the Board of Werksta and Co-Managing Partner at Procuritas.
